The Albyn Ventures business angel syndicate was established in May 2007. It is made up of experienced, successful entrepreneurs, FTSE 250 directors and business professionals who, in addition to growth finance, provide “active”” involvement and business expertise, together with an extensive network of contacts, that assist both emerging and established businesses to realise their high growth prospects.                  The syndicate is led by experienced entrepreneur, Murray Strachan.

The syndicate is committed to collectively investing over £2,000,000 on an annual basis, with the potential for this to be enhanced through co-investment with a range of investment partners. Individual investments are made in the £150,000 to £500,000 range.

Whilst we are headquartered in the North East of Scotland, we are not geographically limited in our investment focus, and actively pursue deals throughout Scotland and the remainder of the United Kingdom. Also, unlike some other business angel syndicates, we are not sector-specific in outlook and are willing to look at many industry sectors and diverse business operations.
